One of the drawbacks to view templates is that they do not automatically updates views when you change the settings. It is common once you define a template and start working through a project to modify and tweek settings, but views you have already assigned the view template to are not changed.
Typically you must reassign the view template individually to each view, a process which can be cumbersome and take a lot of time depending on how many views and how many sheets you have. One quick way you can accomplish this is to right click on the sheet name in the project browser and select 'apply default view teamplate to all views'. All the views will be modified to the view template assigned in the 'default view template' parameter for the view. No need to go to each view individually!
