Hide at Scales Coarser Than

I love this feature for what it can do about all the annoying annotations which can appear.  Some people consider the fact that annotations are smart objects in revit as a blessing and a curse.

The curse side being that after you place it, they appear everywhere after you place them and most the time you need to go to all your views and actually turn them off and hide them, which can be a little annoying and teadious.

There are a couple ways in which you can hide them in certain views.  Hiding independently, hiding by category, using a filter (if they are say for an equipment an and you only want to see them on an equipment plan).  You can also use the 'hide at scales courser then' property for that elevation view.

This is particularly great when you have a callout or enlarged plan and the place the elevation markers on that enlarged plan.  Use this feature to hide them in your main views if they occur in enlarged views with no extra help.  Just set the value of this property to the scale of your enlarged view, and it disappears from any view smaller than that!

Another way to automate the process.  I always consider hiding the element in the view to be a last resort, because it's not parametric, and may not be easily discovered by someone else who works on your model.
